PineNook Farm and Orchard
Nestled between the Lakes and White Mountains regions of New Hampshire

PineNook gets its name from a time when the home was a vacation boarding house around 1900. Bostonians and others would take the train to Centre Harbor and then continue their journey on stagecoach to PineNook. Daily boarding rates were $1.00 with a discount for staying a week. Prices have changed but the bucolic setting remains. Today's journey doesn't require a stagecoach but crossing the Durgin Bridge, one of New Hampshire's historic covered bridges, helps set the mood for a stay at PineNook.

Mount Whiteface, one of the State's 4,000+ foot mountains is seen to the north while the Ossipee Mountains rise to the south. John's heirloom apple orchard can be seen at the end of this field.
Squam Lake as seen from Rattlesnake Mountain Trail. The lake is a great place to see bald eagles and loons.
PineNook is a place to get outdoors and hike a mountain, kayak a pond, or just sit by the fire and watch the wildlife while enjoying a good book.
